Concert Music
Concert pieces composed for different formats. I have dwelved into different music styles. Many of my works are influenced by my own experiences in life as well as folkloric music from Colombia.
Danza Sureña for Piano solo
A solo piano piece resembling a traditional dance from the southern Andena region of Colombia, Nariño. This pieces uses elements of folkloric music from indigenous cultures and rhithms from the traditional dance known as Son sureño.
Arbol Triste
A lyrical Piece with influences from rhythms such as Bambuco and Pasillo from Colombia, as well as romantic lieds. The lyrics are from the homonymous poem from Luis Felipe de la Rosa.
Un Apuro Pasillo
A piano trio that combines Jazz elements with the traditional rhythm Pasillo, traditional rhythm from Colombia and ecuador in 3/4 known for its lyrical and romantic style.
Noches de Monserrate
A piano piece inspired on the nights from Bogota. Drawing inspiration from genres like Bambuco and Pasillo, the piece gives a nostalgic feeling with beautiful harmony and melody.
